Arkansas River flows in from Kansas just north of Kaw Lake in north-central Oklahoma to Arkansas just east of Robert S Kerr Lake in eastern Oklahoma. The Arkansas River holds trophy striped bass (striper). These striped bass can be found running up into the Illinois River in the spring and winter.
Blue River in south-central Oklahoma is located near Tishomingo. The Blue River with it's natural beauty is the perfect place to get away. If you like to go camping, hunting, or fishing the Blue River has you covered. Smallmouth bass fishing is great in the summer time, and trout are stocked in the winter time.
Glover River in southeastern Oklahoma flows from Battiest to Garvin. This remote natural area is one of the most beautiful areas of the state. The Glover River, one of the last free flowing rivers in Oklahoma, is an excellent smallmouth bass fishing river. There are several bridges offering public access mostly along the Three Rivers WMA, which requires a land-access permit from the Oklahoma Wildlife Department.
Illinois River in eastern Oklahoma is located just east of Tahlequah. The upper part of the Illinois River flows from just north of Watts at the Oklahoma-Arkansas border to Lake Tenkiller. This section of the river is a popular summertime float trip destination. There are many canoe and raft rentals spots available. The upper Illinois River is also a great fishing stream for bass, catfish, perch, and crappie. The lower section of the Illinois River flows from the Lake Tenkiller dam to the Arkansas River. This part of the river has cool water and some serious fishing. Rainbow trout and brown trout are found in the lower Illinois River, as well as trophy striped bass (striper). Lower Mountain Fork River in southeastern Oklahoma is located just northeast of Broken Bow. The Lower Mountain Fork River, the tail water of Broken Bow Lake, offers year round rainbow and brown trout fishing. This is a great fly fishing spot. Beavers Bend Resort Park has water front camp sites on the Lower Mountain Fork, and some nice swimming holes. New state record 17 pound brown trout caught here on April 10th, 2005.
Upper Mountain Fork River in southeastern Oklahoma is located just northeast of Broken Bow. The Upper Mountain Fork River, which winds through the Ouachita Mountains, is a beautiful spot for a canoe trip. For the fishermen the smallmouth bass fishing is excellent. This warm water river flows into Broken Bow Lake.

Altus City Reservoir--PDF Map--Altus City Reservoir in southwest Oklahoma is located in Altus. Altus City Reservoir has 2 miles of shoreline and 140 surface acres.
Lake Altus-Lugert--PDF Map--Lake Altus-Lugert in southwest Oklahoma is located just east of Lugert. Lake Altus-Lugert has 49 miles of shoreline and 6260 surface acres. Lake Altus-Lugert lies next to the unique and beautiful Quartz Mountain. The lake is surrounded by rock boulders and rolling granite mountains. Rainbow Trout are stocked for winter fishing during the annual trout season, which runs November through March. There is also a 3600 acre public hunting area north of the lake.
American Horse Lake--PDF Map--American Horse Lake in western Oklahoma is located 10 miles west of Geary. American Horse Lake has 7 miles of shoreline and 100 surface acres. American Horse Lake, an Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation lake, is a great lake for fishing. The water clarity in this lake is amazing, and you can see largemouth bass everywhere. This little lake reaches depths of 70 feet.

Arbuckle Lake is one of a handful of crystal clear water lakes in Oklahoma. Arbuckle Lake's beautiful clear water is a favorite among scuba divers. Arbuckle Lake with it's deep rock cliffs is one of the top fishing lakes in Oklahoma. Public hunting is available at the near by Chickasaw Wildlife Management Area. Don't forget the ski's and wake board's at this lake.
Arcadia Lake--PDF Map-- Arcadia Lake in central Oklahoma is located on the east side of Edmond. Arcadia Lake has 26 miles of shoreline and 1,820 surface acres. Arcadia Lake has it all, campgrounds, disc golf, and trails for everyone. Bring the Jet Ski's and relax on the beach. Arcadia Lake surrounded by woodlands is home to a variety of wildlife. The fishing is great, and there is a heated enclosed fishing dock at the 15th street entrance.

Konawa Reservoir--PDF Map--Konawa Reservoir in south-central Oklahoma is located just east of the town of Konawa. Konawa Reservoir has 20 miles of shoreline and 1,350 surface acres. This power plant lake is a trophy largemouth bass lake with a 16 to 22 inch slot limit.

McGee Creek Lake--PDF Map--McGee Creek Lake in southeastern Oklahoma is located a few miles north of Farris. McGee Creek Lake has 77 miles of shoreline and 3,810 surface acres. McGee Creek Lake is a scenic deep water lake with rocky banks. This trophy largemouth bass fishing lake is covered in timber in the upper part of the lake. For the hunters, the Stringtown WMA and the McGee Creek WMA are both near by, just northwest of the lake. There is also camping and all kinds of trails around this lake.
Mountain Lake--PDF Map--Mountain Lake in south-central Oklahoma is located a couple miles north of Woodford. Mountain Lake has 5 miles of shoreline and 210 surface acres. This little lake holds several slots on the top 20 largemouth bass list caught in Oklahoma, and a previous state record. Mountain Lake is closed from November 1 through March 1. They have 2 man boats with a trolling motor for rent for $40 per day. Reservations are recommended for the weekends, since only a limited amount of small boats are allowed at one time.
Lake Murray--PDF Map--Lake Murray is located just a few miles south of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Lake Murray with 67 miles of shoreline and 5700 acres is spring fed, and is one of the clearest lakes in Oklahoma. The fishing at Lake Murray is excellent and is known for great smallmouth bass fishing. It is also a great lake for scuba diving, water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing, and more!
